ZIVALASH REINVENT YOURSELF
A Little About Me
If you are reading this, it is because you like or love makeup just as much as I do. In fact, I love eyelashes. The truth is, I started out as no more than a make-up enthusiast teaching myself new makeup tips each day.
Then one fateful day, I made a decision to start wearing eyelashes. In the beginning, my experience with eyelashes was very far from rosy. I had individuals applied on me at the salon and the glue burned my eyes in the process. Coupled with the price of my pedicure and nail refill, my new endeavor was getting quite expensive. Despite the cost, I kept it all going until one day, I woke up and realized that I was wearing 4 lashes on each eye and I had no funds to go anymore. "What am I to do now?", I thought to myself. Right there and then, I made the decision to teach myself how to apply strip lashes. I hopped on YouTube and started looking at tutorials when all of a sudden I realized that my nails were too long to even try the quick technique I was seeing in the videos. I tried out a couple of eyelash tools and found one that worked with my nail length. It is wonderful. No more Salon for me! That was it. I did it! From that day on, I did not look back. I kept applying them every single day until I got better and better.
Along the line, my fascination and devotion to eyelashes led me to a medical doctor friend of mine who provides breast reconstruction for her patients. Women that were undergoing breast reconstruction after a grueling cancer chemotherapy treatment and she were hosting a beauty day for them. Knowing how passionate I am about eyelashes, she invited me to come apply lashes. This gesture meant a lot to me and at the time I was only doing it for myself. After getting the call, I ran to the store and purchased a wide selection of lashes for these ladies to choose from. I will never forget when a lady came in, she was really trying her best to make it through the day in spite of how she was feeling. I had her choose a pair of lashes then I asked her how her day was going and she told me that it was rough that day. I started to perform my magic on her and while at it, I got her to laugh at a couple of my jokes. She started to brighten up. When I gave her the mirror and she looked at herself in it, you could tell that she loved what she saw and the expression on her face was so priceless. In that little moment she forgets about all of her worries and was obviously feeling better about herself. That moment changed me forever. It was in that moment that I realized that I have found my calling. The look in her eyes gave me purpose and right then and there, I made it my mission to help as many women out there bring out the fierceness in them.
In April 2009 and August 2012, I lost two beautiful women to breast cancer who I have forever lost the opportunity to bring light to their eyes with eyelashes.
Forever Miss you Brenda & Mommie
